The pros excel with Vietnamese because they love archer micro and every HP point counts. And they probably do nefarious things with their opponents TC location. Noobs excel with Vietnamese because they actually get to imp skirm and elephants every game after booming behind stone walls.

I find Vietnamese design so weird that I'm sure it was designed by 2 different civ designer. They have one of the most unique bonus of seeing enemy base at the start. This is one of the most aggressive design which is strengthened by being the 2nd civ after Aztecs that lacks Masonry (Byzantines doesn't count). However they have no fast military bonus and didn't have any eco bonus on release. Free Conscription is in Imperial Age and nothing for an early aggression. Extra HP on archery range units barely helps for aggression. And last thing an aggressive civ needs is extra good skirmisher in Imperial Age. The only positive thing is the new eco bonus is okay for an aggressive Feudal play.

From the gameplay an improvement of the last Jadwiga mission imo, but the story of Jadwiga builded up better for the big climax at the end as the conclusion and final result of her work, in this campaign it feels more like just the last battle without it beeing a a great achievement or the result of the previous missions

The V&V campaigns are annoyingly hard. Some could literally take hours to complete. Others, force you to race against a timer with extremely unfair eco. Took me a lot of saves to complete some of them on Hard. But once you figure out the strats and explore the maps, they're pretty pleasant and fun to replay. Hope you prepare for the lengthy campaign sessions in your stream schedule.
